THE Irish Rose from Down-

P a t r i c k , who topped the Irish charts with her record-breaking single "Pal of My Cradle Days , will bring her life-long involve ment with music to the ’Burnley

stcigc. Success came early for Ann

Breen when she won her first com petition at the age of nine per forming "Edelweiss" at a competi tion in her local town. At 16, she was singing with a local country band, which she did for several years, and it was while working as a semi-professional on the local cabaret circuit that she recorded her first album "Country Song bird" with Belfast record company, "Outlet Records". "Pal of My Cradle Days" was

released as a single and went straight to No. 1 in the Irish

charts. In 1983, Ann formed her own

band and began touring as a pro fessional singer. During 1984 she represented Ireland in the Gold Star Awards in Holland, and also appeared on numerous TV pro grammes through Ireland and Great Britain, winning endless awards for her singing and enter

taining. To date, Ann continues to

record and tour with her band throughout Ireland, Great Britain, the USA and Scandi navia, singing her blend of Irish, country and popular songs.
