I ving home as the new owner of a clas I sic British sports car.

The car, a British

racing green MGB GT, was the spectacular prize in a fund-raising raffle, which featured as part of the enter tainment during the second King Henry Charity Ball, held in a marquee on the Bolton I Hall Estate, Bolton-

by-Bowland. Event organiser, local

. businessman Mr John Cal- adine (right), invited spon sor Mr Christopher Boson-

net (left) and his mother, ' Mrs Assumpta Bosonnet, to draw the raffle, which , was won by Bolton-by- Bowland villager Mr Robin Mason. He was one of 260 guests

to be welcomed to a cham pagne reception by the BMP Europe Brass Band. With dancing until dawn, other musical guests included crooner Russ Shaw and the rock group Millennium. From the £5,000 raised

by the ball, donations will be made to Bolton-by- Bowland CE Primary School and local and national charities, includ ing the Meningitis Research Trust. Pictured below, putting
