There is ample off-road parking, with a purpose-built car park on the upper level, which can be accessed from North Valley Road, for customers visiting the furniture showroom.

Now the firm has moved into a new purpose-built factory and warehouse with a 4,000 sq. ft. showroom open to the public.


The original Vivary Bridge Mill dates back to 1896 and, although much of it was demolished 15 years ago to allow Vivary Way. to be built, the old weaving shed remained and was something of an eyesore.


The new premises have been built with the intention of not only creating an efficient working sice, but as the site is one of the most prominent in Colne and the first thing people see on leaving the M65, the company was determined to improve the area aesthetically.


Now, almost nine months since vacating the old premises, the company is settling into its new home and is inviting the public to take


a look. Although work is still in progress in part of the building, the company


opened for business on Saturday 8th May. Trading as Vivary Mill Lounge Suites, the company aims to slash high street prices and undercut other major furniture retail outlets.


The shop will accommodate customers with any kind of budget and furniture may be made to order in any combination or seating arrangement.


Leather furnishings, sofa beds and three-piece suites are all available, along with a massive selection of upholstery fabrics,and customers will be able to take advantage of special offers from both stock and showroom furniture, with immediate delivery available.


Customers will also find finance and credit facilities highly attractive.

It has created an attractive and inviting shop and showroom, with stone from the original building used to build the perimeter walls and the “display cabinet” in North Valley Way.


The company has also invested in the local economy by using local contractors to do the rnajority of the work, not only to keep the co-ordination of it conveniently on the. doorstep, but to provide work for the people in the area.

Several new jobs have already been created at Vivary Mill itself and more will follow in the near future.


The whole project has been a massive undertaking by all involved. Grant assistance from Pendie Partnership and Pendle Council has been a welcome contribution and the managing director of Tigertex Ltd. Andrew Mills, would like to thank all those who have helped in making the development possible.
