Herbs have been used to treat illnesses all over the world for thousands of yeais, and once again the role of herbal medicines as an important complementary therapy is being more widely understood, not just by the public but by doctors, pharmacists, other health professionals, and by scientists and researchers, too.

There are many everyday ailments for which a gentle, effective treatment is needed -

one that is non-habit forming, without unwelcome side effects, and safe to take as and when required. Reputable herbal medicines fit the bill exactly, and their usefulness is now well established. Herbal medicines can be prescribed for patients through the National Health Service in just the same way as any other medicines, and a growing number of GPs arc doing so. Pharmacists, too, arc increasingly suggesting a herbal medicine to patients who ask for advice.

As with any medicine you should read the

directions carefully and always follow the dosage instructions. Remember, too, that these softer, gentler medicines need time to work; make sure you complete any course of treatment recommended on the label.

Herbal medicines are today an integral part

of our medicinal armoury, so make sure you treat yourself right by choosing products from Potter’s, the herbal medicine experts.
