The above-named Order was made on the 22nd September 1998, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order, it confirmed without modification, will be to divert that part of Public Footpath No. 12, Bowland Forest Lower, from a point at its junction with Easington Road, (GR. 6766 4642), in a general west- north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 60 metres, (to GR. 6760 4643); and the alternative route to be provided is from a point on Easington Road, approximately 4 metres to the south of the current Definitive Route, (GR. 6766 4641), in a general west-north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 60 metres to., rejoin Public Footpath No. 12, Bowland Forest Lower, (GR. 6760 4643).


This Order supersedes The Lancashire County Council (Public Footpath No. 12, Bowland Forest Lower, Ribble Valley Borough) (Public Path Diversion) Order 1998, made on the 24th February 1998:


Copies of the Order and plan, together with a Statement explaining why the Order has been made, have been placed, and may be seen free of charge, at the offices of Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, and at my offices, where they may be seen, free of charge, during office hours.
