I A ROAD accident in Padiham left a teenage driver in need of hospital treatment. Penny Shepherd (18), of Eastham Street, Clitheroe, was taken to hospital with whiplash injuries but not detained. She was at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta which collided with a Ford Escort in Blackburn Road, near to the old Padiham Power Station. The driver,of the Escort, Gary War- hurst (29); of Nelson, was not injured.
