(PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION) ORDER 1993


The above named Order, made on the 17th August, 1993, is about to be submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, or to be confirmed as an unopposed Order by the County


Council.


The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifica­ tion, will be to divert:— i) that part of Bridleway No. 6, Gisburn from its junc­ tion with Mill Lane (GR. 8221 4911), in a general west-south-westerly direction for a distance .of


approximately 420 metres (to GR. 8179 4905), then in a general south-south-easterly direction for a distance^ of approximately 230 metres, (to GR. 8189 4885); and


ii) that part of Public Footpath No. 6, Giburn, from its junction with existing Bridleway No. 6, approxi­ mately 40 metres west of Coppice Cottages, (GR. 8187 4893), in a general south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 120 metres, (to GR. 8175 4889).


The Alternative Bridleway to be provided is: From a point on Mill Lane, Gisburn, (GR. 8221 4910), in a general south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 410 metres, (to GR. 8189 4889), then In a general south-easterly direction for a distance of


approximately 30 metres, (to GR. 8190 4886), then In a general south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 20 metres to rejoin Bridleway No. 6 at a point approximately 80 metres south of its junction with exlslting Public Footpath 6, (GR. 8189 4885).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily revoke the Lancashire County Council (Alma Place, Clitheroe, Ribble Valley Borough) (One-Way traffic) Order 1991 and prohibit any motor vehicle from oroceedlng over that length ot Alma Place, Clitheroe from N0.8 to No.58 In an antl-clockwise direction - a distance of 0.16


kilometres. There Is no alternative route available. Access to properties will be available at all times. The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been Informed.


The temporary closure Is necessary to enable North West Water to carry out malnlaylng and service renewals.


The closure will be operative from 0900 hours on Monday 16th August 1993 to 1800 hours on Friday 22nd October 1993. G. A. JOHNSON

From a point approximately 50 metres north-east of Public Footpath No. 29, Gisoum, (GR. 8175 4889) In a general east-north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 150 metres, crossing existing Bridleway No. 6, to the junction with the new Bridleway, (GR. 8190 4890).


Copies of the Order and plan have been deposited at the offices of the Ribble Bailey Borough Council, Church Walk, Clitheroe, and at my offices, where they may be Inspected, free of charge, during office hours.
