Spring is in the air and for the first time after a torturous couple of years, there’s a real sense of optimism for the UK hospitality industry. Operators have had their backs against the wall for too long and now deserve the chance to recoup the crippling loses suffered. I’ll let our good friend Kate Nicholls, head honcho at UKHospitality tell you just how important keeping tax at 12.5% is towards this.
As we go into the new season, there is once again a whole host of new openings and events to shout about. Garden Party Leeds have announced a huge 16th anniversary weekender at the end of April. The boutique, cultural music and arts List Festival based at The Yorkshire Scare grounds in Wakefield returns in late July. Globally renowned star Carl
Cox will return on the famous pebbled beach in Brighton, also at the end of July. Staying with Brighton and for those seeking that true Ibiza beach and sunset experience, forget flights to the White Isle and look no further than The Shooshh Beach Club. Adam Breeden, the pioneer of competitive socialising in the UK and entrepreneurial force behind some of the sector’s most successful concepts, has announced plans for his most ambitious and exciting project yet – an immersive, state of the art F1® racing simulation experience, gamified for a mass audience, in a unique global licence agreement with Formula 1®.
We catch up with Go Pod founder James Guard and find out about their extensive range of acoustic pods which come in varying sizes and colours. These pods

can generate an additional revenue stream for any venue. Alternatively they can provide the perfect solution to anyone requiring a modular, transferable, private space.
Amber Beverage Group, the fast growing global beverage group, is launching a bold and exciting advertising campaign for its brand, Rooster Rojo Tequila. The campaign theme, SIP DON’T SLAM, shows how these premium Tequilas should be sipped and savoured not slammed.
Cheers,
