CELEBRATES MILESTONE

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is celebrating a major milestone in its High Flyers initiative, with the first of four iconic chevrons on its new H145 air ambulance helicopter now fully filled.

Since launching the initiative ear lier this year,

supporters of the lifesaving service have been given the unique oppor tunity to have thei r name or that of a loved one printed on the charity ’s newest aircraf t. With 400 names mak ing up each chevron, Midlands Air Ambulance Char i ty is thank ing everyone who has suppor ted the campaign so far.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has chosen to be a part of the High Flyers initiative. Every name represents someone who supports our lifesaving missions and believes in the work we do, serving as a constant reminder of the lives and communities we are here to serve.

“Filling the first chevron is a significant moment for us, and with three more to go, we hope this milestone encourages even more people to get involved. To date, supporters have chosen names to celebrate significant birthdays, weddings, the births of grandchildren as well as paying lasting tributes to loved ones no longer here. We are also aware of community groups across the counties who are fundraising to have the name of their group included.”

The High Flyers initiative not only of fers a lasting trib- ute or celebration for supporter s but also helps fund the char i ty’s advanced pre-hospi tal emergency care. Each name can be submi tted to be added to the helicopter for a minimum donation of £150, wi th al l proceeds helping Midlands Air Ambulance Char ity continue

Midlands and Worcester shire. The chevrons will be visible in the sk y across these operational areas, symbolising the community spir it and generosity that fuels those lifesaving missions.

With space for 1,600 names in total, there are still three more chevrons to f ill. Suppor ter s are encouraged to secure their place in history and help keep the char ity’s helicopters in the sk y. Once all 1,600 spaces have been allocated, the chevrons will be f itted with the names and those who have taken par t will get the oppor tunity to view the names via an onl ine por tal, and at future char ity events.
