Welcome to your May edition of Live 24-Seven
For most of us, ‘home’ means many things: where we’ve been, where we’re at, where we’re headed. It might encompass a favourite place we return to time and again, the people we choose to surround ourselves with, or even a state of mind where we feel most content.

As I’ve come to realise, our home isn’t just a structure or a street address… it’s a place within us. Its our passions, our dreams and what we return to time and time again. Meaning no matter where we come from or where we are headed, we can always go home.
It was talking to both Tom Ball and Matt Baker this month, that made me think of ‘home’; Tom as he embarks on his exciting new career in music and Matt as he takes on a new challenges, inspired by his deep rooted love of farming and nature. Both at different times in the careers, but both embracing ‘their home’, the things that make them tick as people. I hope you enjoy reading their interviews as much as I enjoyed talking with them.
Even while the unpredictable British weather leaves us guessing, this month is the time to get some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors… rain or shine, and we have compiled some top spots for you to picnic in your local area, as well as some relatively easy, but scrumptiously delicious picnic recipes to try at home. Our drinks’ editor, Bradley, also gives us the low down on some of the best British wines to enjoy with our picnics too.

As we move into warmer months, I look forward to sharing with you more exciting stories from celebrities and locals alike, as Matt said to me when talking about his time on The One Show, “it was the eclectic mix of people that starred on the show (which is what I love about Britain), that made it so enjoyable to work on. The stories of Britain, the people, that kind of heartland television” ... “the A-listers, from your Dolly Parton's to Lionel Richie to those who were in the smallest little parts of -Britain doing incredible things within their communities. I loved that
crossover..for me that's what makes Britain great.” (and makes it our home?)
