WHAT’S ON IN YOUR COUNT Y
AN ADAPTATION OF ANTON CHEKHOV’S ‘THE CHERRY ORCHARD’ BY ANDREW WHITTLE
1914. A village in Russia. Little has changed for hundreds of years. Until now. Here to There Productions presents a fresh, bold new take on Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece, “The Cherry Orchard”.
The story centres around the return to the family estate of Lubov Ranevskaya who, together with her brother, is fighting to keep her family home safe in the face of greed and commercialism.
This adaptation by company founder, Andrew Whittle, remains faithful to the original plot yet provides immediacy through the use of its language, themes and humour.
