TAKE TO THE S LOP E S SNOW, SKIS AND A DASH OF GLAMOUR
Last year’s ski season was a bigger flop than one of Eddie the Eagle’s jumps but with fewer restrictions this year, more people are likely to be heading off for their annual skiing trip. We take a look at a handful of luxurious resorts to tempt you back on the slopes.
BRAND NEW BEAR LODGE
Thirty years on from VIP SKI’s pioneering beginnings, the British born luxury chalet operator is back. Brand-new for the upcoming winter season, VIP SKI offers Bear Lodge in Les Arcs, France. It’s the culmination of seven years’ design and development, during which VIP SKI has tried to create the ultimate ski experience – guests can find rooms for couples, rooms for families and adjoining rooms for mum, dad and teenage kids, plus private suites for groups of every size. A 30-bedroom hotel has been added to the 12 apartments, together, of course, with all the toys, including a proper sized pool you can swim in, a spa with plenty of steam, piste-side kid’s space, gym, cinema and small conference room. At the giddying altitude of 1,950m, the brand-new complex is located on the piste, next to the ski lifts and a short walk across the slope to the centre of the village.
A four-night stay, from 5 January 2021, costs from £75 pp. Or a week’s stay, from 17 April 2021, costs from £1,129 pp. Prices include cooked breakfast and dinner with choice of menu on seven days and return transfers from Geneva Airport.
