ROYAL THREE COUNTIES SHOW IS BACK 13TH – 15TH JUNE A WEEKEND OF FOOD, FARMING AND FAMILY FUN!

Appearing at the show for the first time this year will be furry friends from the award-winning Atwells Farm Park in Worcestershire. Visitors of all ages can get up close and hands on with friendly farmyard animals and learn more about their lives and care. Another new feature at this year’s show is the Pig Village. This dedicated area will celebrate the British Pig Industry.

A brand-new Home and Heritage area will celebrate rural crafts, heritage preservation, alongside traditional and artisan skills across the three days of the Royal Three Counties Show.

Another exciting new feature is Murf’s Burger School, hosted by award-winning chef Anthony 'Murf' Murphy, one of four founders of the increasingly popular The Beefy Boys. As well as hosting a BBQ competition for local chefs on Saturday 14th June, Murf will also run a fun parent and child Burger School on Sunday 15th June.

The award-winning Royal Three Counties Show, the UK’s premier agricultural and countryside living event - which was awarded ‘Event of the Year’ in 2024 by the National Association of Outdoor Events - is set to return to Three Counties Showground in Malvern from 13 - 15 June 2025, with a packed programme of new features, exciting entertainment, bags of family fun for all ages, oodles of local food and drink, and – as always – lots of animals!

Countryside shopping is another big draw for visitors to the Royal Three Counties Show, and this year will include a brand-new Fairfax and Favor area, hosted in the luxurious Royal Parade. Then relax with a glass of champagne and live music.

Advance day tickets to the Royal Three Counties Show cost £24.85 for adults and children under 16 are free. To book tickets, visit www.royalthreecounties.co.uk/ or call 01684 584 924.

LICHFIELD LITERATURE FESTIVAL 2025 PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED 27-30 MARCH 2025

Lichfield Festival has announced the full programme for its annual Literature Festival – a celebration of the written word which runs from 27-30 March 2025.

The packed four-day event includes broadcasting legend Simon Mayo who talks about his spellbinding new thriller ‘Black Tag’, Helen Lederer on being one of the few women at the heart of the 1980s alternative comedy scene, and art expert and BBC’s ‘Fake or Fortune’ presenter Bendor Grosvenor on the ‘Invention of British Art’. Gardeners’ World presenter and journalist Mark Lane imagines our gardens of the future and Sunday Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen also appears, bringing her latest thriller ‘The Summer Guests’.

Former Spectator and Telegraph editor Charles Moore discusses the final days of Margaret Thatcher’s political career on the 100th anniversary of her birth. ‘Queen Victoria and her Prime Ministers’ is the subject of Anne Somerset’s book, and a host of authors discuss influential, if less well known, female figures in history from Catherine de’Medici (Mary Hollingsworth), to ‘The Lost Queen: The Surprising Life of Catherine of Braganza’ (Sophie Shorland) and ‘Kingmaker’ – Pamela Churchill Harriman’s astonishing life of seduction, power and intrigue (Sonia Purnell). And in ‘Secret Voices: A Year of Women’s Diaries’, Sarah Gristwood brings together a treasury of over a hundred diarists through the centuries.
