Two recent projects illustrate PTSG’s expertise in this discipline. The first is the Q1 office building in Handyside Street, King’s Cross.
Designed by Coffey Architects, this is a high-specification building that draws on the industrial heritage of the site. The façade is a silver perforated aluminium that sits well with the neighbouring buildings along York Way with the black and greys of the King’s Cross Sports Hall and Arthouse.
PTSG’s high-level engineers attended the site to undertake a glazing replacement project. This ensured the building was returned to its original state as quickly as possible – presentable and fully operational.
Chilworth House in Eastleigh is home to Aviva Health Insurance Services. Aviva plc is a British multinational insurance company headquartered in London, England. It has about 18 million customers across its core markets of the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada. In the United Kingdom, Aviva is the largest general insurer and a leading life and pensions provider.
PTSG’s high-level engineers attended the site to remove a damage glazed unit and replace it, refitting pressure plates and capping. They used powered access to reach the building’s atrium roof. They also used a mobile scaffold tower to access the glazed units from the ground and internally.
