ON CAMPUS NEWS & NOTES
What to read this spring
Need something for your nightstand? Dennis Marchiori, D.C., Ph.D. (`90), chancellor and CEO, recommends Good Energy: Te Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health by Casey Means, MD. Means — a Stanford-trained doctor, tech entrepreneur, and New York Times bestselling author — does an outstanding job of covering aspects of wellness and what chiropractors need to do in offices to advance wellness. “It’s motivating and covers a lot of information quickly,” says Dr. Marchiori.
Creating a connected community online
Palmer Plexus, the new online global community for Palmer College of Chiropractic graduates, launched in September of 2024 and more than 850 people have already joined the platform. “We’re thrilled with the way Palmer College alumni are engaging with Palmer Plexus,” says Arianna Branch, assistant director of alumni programs and annual giving. “Alumni who have joined have told us how excited they are to create a connected community together. Tey love that it is a place exclusively for them.” Palmer Plexus allows the Palmer community to find and engage with classmates,
forge meaningful mentoring relationships, post and search for job opportunities, and more. Tere are special interest groups and communities for graduates from specific campuses.

Palmer leading the way in academic success
Te National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) exam results are a vitally important external metric for students and the College. Chiropractic colleges publicly share the percentage of graduates who pass the exam within six months of graduation. In 2023, Palmer College of Chiropractic had both the largest number of
graduates and the highest pass percentage: 98 percent on the Davenport campus. “When we say Palmer College is the best and biggest, this is what we
mean,” says Daniel Weinert. D.C., Ph.D. (`96), provost. “Tis is not an extraneous measure — it measures the strength of our program, the expertise of our faculty, and the drive of our students. Te figure was part of our recent re-accreditation by both the Higher Learning Commission and the Council on Chiropractic Education.”
