A vision built on strength DENNIS MARCHIORI, D.C., Ph.D. (`90)
CHANCELLOR AND CEO, PALMER COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC
WHEN WE LOOK BACK at nearly 130 years of history, our strengths at Palmer College of Chiropractic are clear: unparalleled academic excellence, shared values and a sense of belonging, iconic
campuses, and a commitment to the resources required to advance our vision for a world of unlimited health and human potential. Tese four commitments — these
strengths — form the framework for our new strategic plan adopted by our Board of Trustees. Te plan incorporates the contributions of our Trustees, faculty, staff, students, administrators, and you — our alumni and friends. As we look forward, these strategic directions will guide us in everything we achieve as a College. Campus planning, curriculum development, recruitment, alumni relations, and so much more all tie back to these core strengths. I’m proud to share with you these areas of
distinction and offer an overview of how this plan is going to guide us in 2025 and beyond. Our plan is essential as we define long-term
goals, allocate resources effectively, and navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing educational landscape. It acts as a roadmap, leveraging our shared strengths in alignment with our shared mission. And, it is actionable. Te stories in this issue prove it. For instance, in Davenport, renovations are
underway in West Hall’s storied classroom W210. As you read on, you’ll see how our core strengths are guiding projects like this. With any change at our College, we prioritize the academic success of our students, course delivery opportunities for faculty, and the shared identity we associate with our campus spaces. Te same is true of mission-advancing
efforts like our continued investment in the student experience. You’ll read about the committed team we’ve assembled to enhance the Palmer experience, connect students and alumni, and foster the sense of belonging that has made Palmer a home to so many. New in this issue is the start of a series in
which I share a behind-the-scenes look at the exciting things happening at Palmer right now. Our community of lifelong learners continues to lead the field in classrooms, clinics, and research labs. Tanks to your support, we are poised with the necessary resources to advance our mission in the years ahead. As alumni, you have played a key role
in shaping our plans for the future and cementing the strengths that make it possible. Your success is the College’s success. You have created the traditions and standards that make Palmer College a global leader. You refer the best and brightest students to our campus, you share expertise through mentorship, and you give generously to support the College. Your participation will be just as essential as we move forward.
