COLLEGE NEWS Five beloved Palmer faculty retire

After decades of teaching, mentoring, and shaping future chiropractors, five Palmer College of Chiropractic faculty members are beginning well-earned retirements.

Ward Jones, Ph.D., joined Palmer’s Life Sciences Department in 2017, teaching courses in cell biology, biochemistry, and immunology. He then served as associate dean of life sciences and foundations, continuing his commitment to educating and mentoring future chiropractors.

Dave Juehring, D.C. (`94), has been a figure in Palmer’s Chiropractic Rehabilitation and Sports Injury Department for over 30 years, beginning in 1994 when the department was first established and later serving as its director. A former United States Bobsled Team member, he brought an athlete’s discipline and perspective to sports chiropractic education throughout his career at Palmer.

Ken Krayenhagen, D.C. (`98), began teaching at Palmer in 2003, instructing technique and working in the Trevor V. Ireland Student Clinic before later serving in its Outpatient Clinic. His steady presence over more than two decades has left a lasting impression on countless students.

Tom Ring, D.C. (`75), dedicated over 40 years to mentoring students in Palmer’s clinic. Among the highlights of his tenure were the clinic-abroad trips he led to India and Nepal, broadening students’ perspectives on chiropractic care worldwide.

Robert Percuoco, D.C. (`83), served Palmer for over 40 years in a variety of academic and administrative leadership roles, including dean of academic affairs, vice chancellor for academics and, most recently, vice chancellor for institutional effectiveness.
