Global coverage and local service

With the possibility of global travel slowly returning, customers are seeking simple and efficient ways of making their journeys simpler. Luggage tag brand eezeetags announces the launch of ‘the eezeetag family’, offering a local service on a global scale.

he airline industry is currently preparing for the return of mass travel. Self-service offerings at all levels of travel will become more predominant in post-pandemic times, as will very strict hygiene measures. At self-check- in, little contact with airport staff is required and more passengers can be served faster – saving not only cost but time. “There is an increasing demand for eezeetags at an unprecedented level,” says Borry Vrieling, founder and managing director of eezeetags.

Eezeetags is regarded by airlines and airports around the world as the flagship for high-quality and easy handling for the user. Passengers can print their baggage tags directly at the airport. The eezeetags are truly self-explanatory, with no room for application errors. Over the course of 2019, 50 million passengers worldwide self-tagged their bags using an eezeetag.

Converting is done on a patented composite material, manufactured by the Sihl Group, which is a renowned producer of highly specialised printing products. Thanks to the special coating on the back, the material only sticks to itself, so no silicone paper is needed to be removed to expose the adhesive. This has several advantages: on the one hand, it spares the environment because less waste is produced, and the base material is FSC-certified and strictly BPA-free. On the other hand, the risk of accidents is greatly reduced since no slippery silicone paper can be left on the floor. The eezeetags are also removable without residue, so the luggage pieces are not polluted by adhesive residues. This all leads to increasing airport capacity, reducing operational costs, and creates happy passengers who save time

that can be better spent shopping or relaxing at the airport.

Delivering quality To achieve trouble-free operational stability, it’s essential to deliver impeccable products. Experience shows that this does not just depend on the manufacture of composite materials, but also its special adhesive finish. The finishing on the press, the final finishing of the small rolls – taking place in the bag- tag production facility – and the printability at the kiosk provider are all equally important in ensuring the best possible quality for eezeetags’ all-in-one solution. To cope with the challenges of the recovery phase and expected future growth, the eezeetags brand owner and Sihl Group have used the pandemic period to establish a future strategy, and it is with great pride that they announce the ‘eezeetags family’, consisting of leading baggage-tag manufacturers, all licensed under the eezeetags quality specifications and using the same patented original composite

materials. The eezeetags family consist of Security Label, based in Sarstedt, Germany, who will serve Europe, Turkey and North Africa, and Kimoha Entrepreneurs, Dubai, UAE, which supports the GCC countries, East Africa, India and the Indian subcontinent. In the US, Gateway Business Solutions will take care of sales and George Schmitt & Co. will handle production, both located in Connecticut. More family members are to follow.

“The eezeetags family guarantees world- wide availability and consistent quality, leading to the same trouble-free airport operation, mitigating risks for our customers,” says Vrieling. “Making it possible that a locally produced eezeetag product for an airport in the Middle East performs the same as in the comparable kiosk and bag drop installations in Europe and the US – all of which are closer to the market we serve, saving costs and the environment,” Vrieling continues. ●
