Company insight
Using JBT’s JetDock, its equipment is able to locate the passenger or cargo door of an aircraft and orient itself to automatically dock, keeping everything moving safely and efficiently.
Bringing those elements together efficiently and safely keeps everything moving as intended. To help with this process, JBT has introduced JetDock, an operator assist, automatic- docking technology suitable for passenger boarding bridges, Commander loaders and other equipment that docks to the aircraft. Using various combinations of aircraft protection devices (APD), optical sensors, LIDAR and ultra-sonics, JBT equipment can locate the aircraft passenger or cargo door, properly orient itself to the aircraft, and automatically dock.
aircraft is serviced more quickly, passengers are processed without unnecessary delays, fuel is not wasted, emissions are reduced, and the aircraft is more effectively protected from damage. JetDock is truly a win-win technology from JBT.
Location, location, location (and status)
Efficiency during the aircraft turn translates to fuel savings and reduced GHG. Having the GSE and gate equipment located where it is needed, when it is needed and in proper operating condition

It is a docking process that is faster, safer and stands independent of operator experience or proficiency. Best of all, no decals or markings of any kind are required on the aircraft fuselage. The

are all prerequisites for the desired aircraft turn. Tracking the location, status, and operations of GSE and gate equipment is what iOPS from JBT does. It gives managers, operators and technicians
real-time, actionable information on many possible parameters, such as the physical location of the equipment, status, faults, operator identity, and more. iOPS is just one more piece of the environmental puzzle for aviation.
Green aviation
JBT is working hard to help its customers meet environmental objectives and make aviation greener. It supplies the all-electric GSE and gate equipment to reduce aircraft turn times and APU run times. JBT provides customers with new technologies to help reduce the infrastructure expense of moving to an electric airport. It has products to help equipment dock faster and safer with the aircraft. And lastly, its technology helps monitor and track GSE and gate equipment, so that it is where it needs to be when it needs to be there, and is ready to go.
All these technologies are available to help move to greener, environmentally sustainable air operations. ●
