Proportion-Air’s high-resolution regulators offer superior performance compared with traditional valves.

Processes like low-pressure leak testing, microunit dispensing and microfluidics require extreme accuracy and repeatability. Proportion-Air’s high-resolution regulators use true proportional valves, which offer superior performance compared with traditional on/off solenoid valves. With virtually zero dead-band and a long life cycle, they’re an excellent choice for any application where high resolution is a must. These high-resolution valves can be mounted in any orientation and are immune to shock and vibration up to 20G. Din rail, manifold mount and panel mount options are also available.

The MPV and QPV are two of the most popular products in this product family. The MPV is a card unit, while the QPV is an enclosed, CE-approved device. Their performance specifications include: ■ maximum resolution of up to ±0.005% FS

Proportion-Air builds only electronic pressure regulators and electronic flow control valves. Each unit is carefully crafted based on each customer’s unique parameters, making every solution a custom fit. Rather than have an engineer design around a catalogue valve, Proportion-Air works with each customer to see if modifying existing technology could provide a better option. Whether a customer has specific package dimensions, housing requirements or an uncommon electrical interface, Proportion- Air has a product family to match their needs. Vacuum control, vacuum through positive pressure, absolute pressure, inches of water column and direct control up to 1,000psi are available. The variety of outputs can be controlled by an equally diverse rangeof electrical inputs including analogue, digital and serial communications.

Compact 1,200W power supply is baseplate cooled RECOM announces the RACM1200-V baseplate-cooled fan-less power supply with 1,200W peak power capability and industrial plus medical certification. It is extending its portfolio with a Europe- designed and manufactured baseplate-cooled, highly efficient power supply series, designated RACM1200-V. The compact, single output AC/DC converters are just 228mm x 96.2mm x

40mm in size and can deliver 1,000W continuously with the baseplate held to 80°C, while 1,200W is available for up to ten seconds or continuously with airflow. Input is universal 85–264AC, dip-switch adjustable outputs available are nominal 24DC, 48DC followed by 3DC soon, and efficiency is 95% peak. An isolated and ‘always on’ 5V/1A auxiliary supply is provided along with an adjustable five to 12V/1A system fan output, with all outputs isolated from ground to 2kVA for PoE applications. The power supplies hold safety certifications for industrial, ITE and medical with 2 x MOPP isolation and low-leakage current for BF applications. The products also meet ecodesign requirements for standby losses and comply with radiated and conducted ‘Class B’ EMI emissions limits. An integrated microprocessor implements comprehensive protection features and monitors output current, temperature, and other parameters to provide ‘smart’ control and automatic protections in the case of improper use or overloading. Product functionality and monitoring parameters can be factory set in firmware. Settings in the field through an optional PMBus interface will be available from Q2/21. “We’re proud that these new power supplies have been designed and are manufactured in volume in RECOM European sites with more ranges to come,” comments RECOM’s AC/DC product manager, Michael Schrutka. “The wide range of

programmable functions, high power density and fan-less operation make the product very suitable for a variety of high-availability applications including medical.”
