Hotel Technology Forum (IHTF), a move that deepens our commitment to exploring the intersection of technology and hospitality. Together, we aim to provide unparalleled coverage of the innovations shaping our industry, from AI-driven guest experiences to robust cybersecurity strategies. In this issue, we delve into two pivotal areas of hotel technology. First, we examine the evolution of hotel mobile apps. Once celebrated for features like keyless entry and room service ordering, these apps are now integrating generative AI and predictive analytics to offer hyper-personalised guest journeys. This shift is not just about convenience; it’s about anticipating guest needs and delivering experiences that feel uniquely tailored. Equally critical is the topic of cybersecurity. A single, expertly crafted phishing email can trigger a full-scale breach, compromising everything from front desk credentials to guest payment data. We analyse these threats and the emerging safeguards that are becoming essential in protecting both operations and reputation.

Looking ahead, the next IHTF Asia will be held in Singapore on 18–19 November, at the Marina Bay Sands Conference Center. This premier event focuses on the latest innovations and technological advancements in the hospitality sector, driving growth and transformation across the industry. Attendees will engage with cutting-edge advancements and explore how technology is reshaping the future of hospitality.
Focusing on South East Asia, we turn our gaze to Bangkok and explore how international hotel brands and boutique operators are leveraging food and beverage concepts to differentiate themselves in a competitive market. F&B strategies are becoming key differentiators. We hear from Christophe Sadones of Hyatt Asia Pacific and Patrick Both of Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and IHG Luxury & Lifestyle.
As always, our goal is to provide hotel professionals with actionable insights, thoughtful analysis, and a clear view of what is shaping the industry today and tomorrow. This issue brings together technology, security and culinary innovation in a way that is both practical and inspiring, reflecting the dynamic world of hotels in which we all operate.
