Egger Wismar OSB modernisation project completed with 15% boost to capacity
EGGER’s Wismar OSB plant has been modernised in a project by Siempelkamp completed five days ahead of schedule. The project-related
shutdown of the plant was just 52 days. The project aim was to achieve a significant increase in capacity of at least 15% at the OSB plant, which Siempelkamp originally delivered in 1999 and commissioned in 2000. The project included the installation of new mat formers and the integration of a ContiTherm preheating system, while the ContiRoll continuous press was equipped with new hot platens and pressure distribution plates.
