SENNEBoGEN LAuNCHES Top oF THE RANGE 100 ToNNE TELECRAWLER
2022 marks 30 years of German manufacturer Sennebogen making telescopic crawler cranes. To celebrate the occasion the company has launched a top-of-the-range model: the 100 tonne capacity 6103 E.
The crane is designed to fill the gap
between existing Sennebogen models, which range between 16 to 130 tonne load capacities.
PICK AND CARRY The crane has a maximum boom length of 62 metres for pick and carry applications. The 6103 E is equipped with a 186 kW Stage V compliant diesel engine, which also hydraulically powers the crane’s crawler drive, plus main and auxiliary winches which each have 100 kN tractive force and cable speeds of 125 m/min.
The crane can be configured to meet a range of requirements designed to suit special civil engineering or hydraulic engineering applications. Configuration capabilities include working area limitation, safety and low-temperature packages, plus it can operate with organic oils, said Sennebogen.
WORKING HEIGHT The crane has a five-section pin boom with a 46.8 m maximum length in standard configuration. As an optional extra, this reach can be extended up to 62 m with the fly jib and extension, enabling working heights of up to 50 m. Crane operation is carried out via joystick.
The 6103 E is also designed to work
on rough terrain due to its robust undercarriage with a maximum track width of 4.20 m. The crane operates on slopes up to four degrees and has Pick and Carry capabilities – meaning it can move with up to 100% load on the hook. This, Sennebogen said, makes it suitable for a range of applications, particularly in prefabricated parts and component assembly and on large construction sites.
OPERATOR CAB AND RC OPTIONS The crane utilises Sennebogen’s Maxcab which is designed to be spacious and
comfortable. The cab can tilt 20 degrees as standard. As an optional extra the cab can be hydraulically elevated providing an eye level of 5.60 m. The cab has large windows and
Sennebogen’s trademark sliding door access area. The crane can also be operated outside the cab via RC.
TRANSPORTATION AND ASSEMBLY The crane can be transported completely in one piece which Sennebogen believes will appeal to contractors and rental companies alike. To be transported in one piece, only the ballast needs be removed to achieve a transport weight of around 61 t and a width of 3.48 m. The crane weighs less than 40 t and so is even easier to transport by low loader, when the crawler tracks are removed beforehand, said Sennebogen. Regarding assembly, the crane does this automatically via its self- assembly system, said Sennebogen.
