Genoa-based port operator Spinelli has sold a Fantuzzi Reggiane mobile harbour crane to Peyrani group for its operations in the port of Taranto. The Fantuzzi Reggiane model MHC6000

crane has been in service at Spinelli’s multipurpose Genoa Port Terminal since 2007. With an outreach of 53m and a maximum SWL under hook of 150 tons, the crane is the most powerful at GPT and will provide Peyrani with a host of new heavy lift opportunities. The company is working on a project to combine the crane in lifts on undisclosed cargoes with other port cranes and telescopic mobile cranes it already

operates in the southern Italian port. Based in Brindisi, Peyrani Group comprises three divisions - Peyrani Trasporti, Peyrani Sud and Peyrani Heavy Lift. It is active throughout the Puglia region and has facilities in the ports of Brindisi, Taranto, Bari and Manfredonia. The transport was arranged by Port Supplies, the Modena-based company active in trading and brokering pre- owned MHCs and other mobile handling equipment between ports within Italy and between Italy and the wider Mediterranean, and arranging their transportation. In this case, as in many others, a

MeriAura flat deck carrier was used. The crane can be driven on and off under its own power, with the boom up or specially lowered for the sailing. The Fantuzzi Reggiane line of MHCs

was dropped afer 2011 when Terex Corp, which had acquired Fantuzzi Noell group in 2009, acquired the Gottwald products from Demag . Spinelli has been using Gottwald mobile harbour cranes at GPT since 2014. In 2016 Konecranes acquired all of the Terex Port Equipment portfolio.
