Design expertise tailored to your needs Whether you’re starting from scratch or updating existing designs, our team can take your requirements and deliver a fully substantiated, fabrication-ready design (TRL 8). We’ve developed multiple packages to meet SSR-6
standards, including: ● Industrial Packages (IP-2 and IP-3) ● Type B(M) transport packages for UK public road, sea,
and rail movement of higher activity waste ● Type C transport packages for air transport of higher
activity waste (UK only) ● Bespoke on-site transfer and storage containers. We also offer design modifications to meet modern
standards and/or regulation updates, including 3D scanning and surveying of existing fleets to verify drawings and manufacturing information. Our team designs and substantiates handling equipment such as lifting beams, turning frames, and transport frames.
Impact analysis We assess mechanical performance of transport packages to demonstrate compliance with SSR-6 impact requirements under both Normal Conditions of Transport (NCT) and Accident Conditions of Transport (ACT). Using finite element analysis (FEA) via LS-DYNA and HyperMesh for geometric de-featuring, creating the FE mesh, and
