worse, road traffic collisions and a short space of time to accomplish the journey. “I will leave home in Devon and I will ride

to Calais on day one, then complete the Calais to Ukraine section of 1,066 and a half miles to the drop-off point. The total distance for the ride being approximately 2700 miles in 5 days.” he continued. “I am aiming to take 50 IFAK medical trauma kits with me - a number

that is significant to me as I am 50 this year. Otherwise, I will be taking spare undies and my toothbrush, that’s it.” John plans to ride the Calais to Ukraine section in 24 hours. Once he has delivered the medical kits, he will return at a more sedate rate of 3-400 miles per day to Belgium and then cross the channel to UK and home to his family. With the support of Michelin UK

supplying his tyres and BMW in Exeter servicing his motorbike, John has been overwhelmed with the kind gestures from his local community.

If you would like to donate and help John complete the final £2,700 of his fundraising target, you can do so here: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ ukraine1066
