At Quick Mortgages, we believe in being where it matters, whether that’s supporting your mortgage journey, cheering from the sidelines, or turning up in person to help officers and staff across the country. Over the last few months, we’ve had the privilege of getting involved with some brilliant events in the policing community. Here’s what we’ve been up to.
Touch Rugby Triumph: West Mercia Police Shine At Pershore We were proud to support the West Mercia Police rugby team at the Pershore Charity Touch Rugby Festival this June – a fantastic event held in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The team delivered an incredible
unbeaten run, with standout wins including a 50–0 result over Trefy Black and a final match victory against Forest of Dean. In true police spirit, they even disallowed their own try after spotting an offside, a great example of integrity in action.

A special moment for us was seeing our own Henry Wright step in to join the squad when they were one player short, not your average day at the office! It was a great day of sport, community, and charity, and we’re especially proud of Dave Knight for leading the team and bringing officers together through rugby.
Lancashire Roadshows: Supporting Face-To-Face We were recently invited by the Lancashire Police Federation to take part in their multi-day roadshow, which saw several organisations visiting police stations across the county to support officers and staff. Over four days, our team set up informal pop-up stands, offering on-the-spot mortgage guidance, answering quick questions, and booking full appointments, all designed to fit around the demands of shift work and busy schedules. It was a brilliant opportunity to connect directly with officers, and we’re grateful to the Federation for involving us. We’ve already had interest from other forces looking to run similar sessions, so if you’d like to bring something like this to your area, get in touch with Henry to book a date.
Federation reps, sharing more about our fee-free mortgage support, and hearing directly how we can better support officers and staff. We also ran a raffle (congrats again to our lucky winner!) and met several new Federations who are excited to bring our services to their members. It was great to hear how much our support is appreciated, and we left even more motivated to keep showing up for the policing community, not just as brokers, but as long-term partners.
