OWNER OF ‘FAKE TAXI’ LISTS CAB FOR £1,200 AFTER SAYING IT HAS “SERVED ITS PURPOSE”
An owner of a ‘Fake Taxi’ has listed their cab for sale for only £1,200 after saying that it’s “served its purpose”. Deadline News reports that Lisa Pethick from Gunnislake, Cornwall, recently listed the customised black hackney cab for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Images show the taxi with the words Fake Taxi emblazoned around the side in the same colour and font used in adult movies. The ‘Fake Taxi’ brand is known for featuring in pornography films where a taxi driver pulls up to pick up clients who pay their fare in alternative ways. Seller Lisa said her family bought the taxi to do up for a summer ball event, saying that it was the “talk of the
evening”. They also used it for personal use as a family car. The For Sale post has garnered over 250 comments, more than 200 shares and over 150 likes. Amused social media users have been leaving jokes on the odd listing.
THIEF BROKE INTO FALKIRK TAXI LEAVING MOBILE SHOWING FACE
A Scots thief has been branded the “dumbest criminal” after leaving a phone with his face on it at the scene. The Scottish Sun reports that the clumsy crook made the embar- rassing error as he robbed two taxis in Grangemouth, Falkirk. The incident hap- pened around 4am on Friday 28 January, in Dundas Street. Local taxi firm Kerse Cabs took to social media to slam the thief after two motors were targeted. Bosses said the person responsible was spotted on CCTV and told how he left his mobile behind with a picture of himself as the wallpaper. The taxi company passed the mobile to police, as well as CCTV footage from the scene. In a post on Facebook, Kerse Cabs said: “Grangemouth’s dumbest criminal. Not only was he caught on CCTV he also left his phone in one of the cars he broke into. Police now have his phone and CCTV footage.” Police confirmed they received a report of the incident and officers are investigating.

Been done many times.” The Fake Taxi website has gained a cult following since its inception in 2013. All videos follow a similar premise, starting with a conversation between the driver and a passenger. The male or female driver often asks for sexual favours in return for a free taxi fare. These favours then take place in the back of the taxi.
SLEEPING CHILD DRIVEN OFF IN GLASGOW AIRPORT TAXI
A sleeping child was accidentally driven off in a Glasgow taxi after the driver and his dad failed to realise he was still inside the vehicle. The Daily Record reports that the frantic parent raised the alarm on Friday morning, 4 February, after he and the child were meant to be dropped off in the Petershill Road area of Maryhill. But the youngster, who is understood to be around five- years-old, stayed in the car and was then driven the 11 miles back to Glasgow Airport where he and his dad had initially been collected. Police were called and swiftly made contact with airport staff who were thankfully able to reunite the duo a short time later. A source said: “No one really knows how this happened. Neither the dad nor the taxi driver realised that the child was still in the car after they were dropped off. “Thankfully the child was safe and well but I think everyone got a bit of a fright. It’s like Home Alone Glasgow edition.” Police Scotland confirmed the awkward incident and stressed that there was no concern for the child’s welfare. A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport said: “We are aware of the incident and can confirm that the taxi driver concerned ensured the child and his father were quickly reunited when the highly-unusual situation became clear.”
