POLICE OFFER £20,000 REWARD TO SOLVE MYSTERY OF PH DRIVER BULENT KABALA SHOT DEAD IN BARNET
Officers investigating the murder of a private hire driver shot dead while working in Barnet are offering a £20,000 reward for information. MyLondon reports that Bulent Kabala left behind a wife and three children after he was shot multiple times four years ago in what police believe to be a targeted killing. Bulent, 41, from Enfield, was due to pick up a fare in Barnet at around 11.45pm on February 12, 2019. When he entered a roundabout his vehicle was hit by a blue Ford Transit van. As he got out of his silver Mercedes car to assess the damage he was shot a number of times at close range before the van sped away. Bulent was pronounced dead at the scene and four years later, Bulent’s heartbroken family are still searching
for answers. Detective Ins- pector Matt Denby, lead- ing the invest- igation, said: “There are some individ- uals with information relating to this killing who have not yet come forward. For the sake of Bulent’s family and the commu- nity, I implore them to do so.” The Met said the circumstances surrounding his murder suggests he was actively targeted and killed. CCTV showed the transit van, which was on stolen plates, had been follow- ing Bulent’s car. The hitman’s vehicle was found abandoned two days later.
A £20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for killing Bulent, who is originally from Turkey. To date there have been four arrests in relation the murder but each person has been released. Detective Inspector Denby said: “This murder occurred four years ago but any information regarding the incident may still be as relevant. Bulent’s family and I are now pleading with you to do the right thing and come forward, even if you think the information you hold is insignificant. “Anyone with information can contact the incident room on 020 8785 8099.
