SAFEKAB / SAFEWALK: SAFEKAB AND SAFEWALK
SafeKab is a taxi booking system with the aim of resolving many challenges that the taxi and private hire industry is facing today.
“I am delighted to see this Loughborough-based business offer this unique concept in taxiing. We know that customers like to use local taxi firms, where safety and reliability are key. SafeKab offers protection to both drivers and passengers whilst ensuring smaller taxi firms are fully supported.”

competitions from multinational apps not to mention licensing hurdles especially for new blood to name a few. The upcoming Uber v Sefton court case and the VAT implications may add insult to injury and push the balance ever further to Uber likes.
The question is what is the way forward for the industry?
Most local taxi firms, especially after the pandemic have suffered driver shortages and rising costs. Some stopped trading, some looked for an exit route and others tried to find ways to survive.

Read on and learn why this new concept is gaining support from many.
“It’s not often we see a genuinely new concept in the taxi industry. SafeKab looks like it could be a winner for passengers, drivers and operators. Even if you aren't a taxi user, the app is worth down- loading just to use the SafeWalk feature.”

For years now the taxi/cab industry has gone through a major shakeup and many can argue not for the better.
Taxi and private hire operations are facing unprecedented challenges: lack of drivers, drivers hopping between jobs and operators, customers expecting instant service, stiff
82 NOW IS THE TIME FOR SAFEKAB
Many don’t like change but no change means stagnation and no progress.
Cooperation between taxi and private hire firms is capable of changing the industry beyond recognition. With sharing of resources the industry can service a great deal more passengers and not refuse jobs. This will benefit drivers directly by increasing their earnings and reducing their dead mileage.
Some may argue that this can’t be achieved in practice since it is virtually impossible to bring taxi firms to work with each other closely. This is a valid argument if we stick to the current business model, which is the cause of many issues.
The solution is introducing transparency, and offering choice JULY 2022
