CROYDON TAXI DRIVER WINS A £90K CAR - AND HE JUST CAN’T BELIEVE HIS LUCK
A Croydon taxi driv- er was left “shocked” after he was told he had won a car worth more than £90,000 on New Year’s Eve. MyLondon reports that Lutfi Burniki was speechless when he was told he had won a Tesla Model S, which can reach 62mph in just 2.7 seconds. The 44-year-old, who lives with his wife and two chil- dren, was also given £20,000 in cash. “It was just an amaz- ing feeling,” he said. “I am going to use it [the money] to take my wife and chil-
dren on a holiday far away in 2020 - somewhere we’ve never been before.” Mr Burniki won the amazing prize after entering dream car competition BOTB, a Fulham-based company which has given away hun- dreds of cars since it opened in 1999. Presenter Christian Williams visited Mr Burniki’s home, where he has lived for the past ten years, on Tuesday December 31 to give him the good news. “I am a taxi driver in London so I wanted a new car which was nice but also had low emissions, so the Tesla is just the perfect choice for me,” he said. “However, I’ve now decided it’s far too nice to use as my taxi so instead I will use it for myself and family for the first year or so.”
