Minicab Services (Colchester) runs a fleet of 100 vehicles. They have always kept up to date with new technologies to improve the efficiency of their opera-

tions and recently they decided to migrate to a cloud-based despatch management system. Their supplier – Cordic – also suggested upgrading their telephone system at the same time. Operations Manager Dave Nicholls says that “we want- ed to improve call handling flexibility so that our oper- ators could take bookings on any of our numbers from any of our offices or even work at home. Cordic recommended us to Yestech and they offered us a free trial of their cloud- based VoIP solution. Their consultant spoke our lan- guage, answered all our questions and he didn’t try to pull the wool over our eyes. We liked the concept and it also became obvious that the Yestech solution would save us money and would pay for itself very quickly. “We went live with the new phone system three months ago and

the process was completely trouble-free. The system does everything as promised and it costs much less to run than our old Avaya machine with its ISDN lines We now have a set of technologies which enables us to work more efficiently and flexibly in response to the relentless competitive pres- sures we are all facing.”

Speaking about Taxi Defence Barristers, Mr Mark Bedford recently commented: "After having my taxi badge revoked by Bolsover Dis- trict Council for such a minor offence i.e. speeding points… I contacted Stephen McCaffrey for help. What can I say: fantastic doesn’t describe it enough. Stephen was straight on the case from the word go and to the end of the case. He took on board all the facts from both sides and drafted up a defence case. The company as a whole keptme informed every step of the way and by God they know their rights in taxi law…The results went as they should have from the start I’m back on the road trying to earn a living. “Anybody in any kind of taxi law situation with the local council/court I strongly advise Kings View Chambers.”
