More than 300 kids with learning diffi- culties were treated to a day to remem- ber as the Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund held its 73rd annual children’s trip to Troon. The Glasgow Eve- ning Times reports that around 100 taxi drivers

their time for free to transport the kids,

LIVERPOOL CABBIES TAKE CHILDREN ON TRIP

drivers took dozens of children to New Brighton for their annual charity day out. The Liverpool Echo reports that a con- voy of hackney cabs, mostly deco- rated in colourful balloons, headed to the resort in a pro- cession carrying more than 30 blind and partially-sight- ed youngsters. They arrived in New Brighton for lunch, before setting out on an afternoon of fun at the fair- ground. Their exploits end- ed, as is tradition, with food at the Floral Pavilion and with each child receiving a hand-
picked gift to the value of £25. Paid for by taxi drivers fund-raising throughout year,

event was another success - according to driver Michael Morris. Speaking after the latest adventure, he said: “It was bril- liant,
