TERROR TIMES BURNHAM CABBIE ROBBED AND HAS CAR STOLEN BY TWO PASSENGERS


A cabbie has been attacked by his two passengers who then stole his car. The cabbie was driving along Stomp Road, Burnham just after midnight on Monday, March 20, when his two passengers attacked him and demanded money.


Luckily he was able to get out of his white Toyota Prius Active car, and the offenders then drove away. The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered minor injuries to his face. The white Prius has not been found since the robbery.

SHEFFIELD CABBIE SUSTAINS FACIAL INJURIES AFTER ROBBERY AND ASSAULT BY TWO MEN


A taxi driver has been assaulted by two men inside his vehicle, South Yorkshire Police has revealed. The men are reported to have inflicted injuries to the cabbie’s face, before he fled the scene to seek help from officers. Police said the taxi driver stopped on Callow Mount, Sheffield at around 3am on February 18 when two men entered his vehicle. It is alleged the men then assaulted


the driver, causing the injuries to his face. After the victim fled, it is reported the two men took cash from the vehicle. South Yorkshire Police has now released images of two men they would like to identify and speak to in relation to the investigation. TAXI DRIVER LEFT SHAKEN AFTER MAN THREATENED TO KILL HIM IN SANDY, BEDS


A taxi driver has been left shaken after a passenger threatened to kill him and left without paying. Majid Khan had been doing a part- time shift for Anglia Cars on 17 March, when he picked up two woman, two men and one child who wanted to go to Sandy Post Office in Pleasant Place. He said: “I helped put a buggy and an electric scooter in the boot” and helped out again when they got to the destination. But when the group said they’d get the payment from inside their

property, Majid was attacked and racially harassed. He said: “As I got to the alleyway, I got pinned down by the boy and then the bulky man threatened me and said ‘I will kill you’. “That’s it, I thought I am going to die and then they ran away.” Majid – who contacted the police – was left shaken, minus the £28 fare plus fuel. And he’s now calling on the public to contact the police if they saw anything. Majid added: “I’ve also requested Bedford council, going forward,


put in place a pay-straight-away or no pick up policy – and I have requested a formal meeting with Bedfordshire police crime com- missioner on the safety of cabbie.” A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: “We’re appealing for any witnesses to contact us quoting crime reference no: 40/14621/23.” Cllr Colleen Atkins said: “Taxi and private hire drivers play a crucial role in providing safe and reliable transportation for the community and should not be subjected to abuse for the service they provide.”
