MARKETING YOUR FIRM IN 2023

Article by Phil Holloway Marketing Director www.hollogram.com

This month to help improve YOUR taxi businesses marketing, we chat with Take Me Group CEO, David Hunter, and ask him about how marketing a taxi business has

changed and how you should do it in 2023.

We used to all advertise our taxi businesses in the Yellow Pages, local newspapers, wall posters and had taxi offices with waiting areas back in the day. But the world has rapidly changed in the last ten years, with the advent of smart phones, booking apps and social media, so it makes sense to discuss how in 2023 you should be using the power of marketing to help win you more customers, retain your drivers and even recruit more staff.

David Hunter has taken the taxi industry to new places; starting in 2002 with just two vehicles and a winning attitude, David has grown the ADT Taxis business

from its roots in Leicestershire to 600+ cars, and is now branded as Take Me. The brand has been taken all around the UK, with taxi companies from Plymouth to Birmingham and Darlington to Stoke, encompassing over 5,000 vehicles in the fleet.

Using technology and digital marketing has been a massive part of the Take Me growth, and in this video Phil and David chat about the tips to help market your taxi business in 2023.

Digital marketing and printed marketing both continue to work in 2023 because they offer unique advantages that complement each other in promoting a business.

Digital marketing

Digital marketing allows businesses to reach a vast and diverse audience through various online channels such as social media, email, search engines, and websites. It enables businesses to engage with customers in real-time, personalise their messaging and target specific demographics with precision. Digital marketing also provides detailed analytics and data-driven insights that allow businesses to measure and optimise their campaigns continually.

Printed marketing

On the other hand, printed marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, billboards, and direct mail still have a place in today's marketing mix. These materials can be highly effective in creating brand awareness and recall, especially for businesses targeting local markets or niche audiences. Printed materials offer tangible and tactile experiences that engage the senses and create emotional connections with customers. They also have a longer shelf life and can be easily shared or passed on to others, extending their reach beyond the initial target audience.

Conclusion

Digital marketing and printed marketing offer different advantages and can be used together to create a more comprehensive and integrated marketing strategy. While digital marketing dominates the modern marketing landscape, printed marketing remains a viable and effective way to promote businesses and connect with customers in 2023.
