Our publications are essential titles for practitioners, students and researchers working in sectors ranging from information literacy and school librarianship to knowledge management and archives. We are proud to publish a curated list of books written by some of the world’s leading experts in library and information science and our relationship with CILIP allows us to collaborate with, harness and bring pioneering thought leaders to the forefront. By giving them a voice, our books ensure innovative knowledge becomes available to other professionals and a number of Facet titles

have established themselves as ‘go-to’ books for the sector such as Introduction to Information Science, 2nd Edition by David Bawden and Lyn Robinson, The Chief Data Officer’s Playbook by Caroline Carruthers and Peter Jackson and Creating a Reading Culture in Primary and Secondary Schools by Margaret K. Merga.

This much-needed book addresses the increasing need for diversity and inclusion and explores how this is key to helping libraries serve their communities better. It enables readers to assess their own library, talk about challenges with more confidence and make concrete changes to improve diversity and inclusion. This year, we look forward to expanding our frontlist with a range of highly anticipated titles. Libraries and Care- experienced Children and Young People by John Vincent will be an essential guide to how libraries can best support children and young people in care, evaluating initiatives from the last 50 years and using this to question what developments are still needed. The Information Literacy Handbook by Karen F. Kaufmann and Clarence Maybee showcases current work that collectively supports the case that information literacy is a discipline in its own right. We are also thrilled to announce that we will be publishing Roll for Adventure, the follow-up to Lucas Maxwell’s bestselling first book, Let’s Roll, which will share even more ideas to
