Libraries Rewired: Introducing CILIP’s Digital Transformation event
A new tech-focused event from CILIP is set to give information profes- sionals from all sectors the opportunity to explore new advances and innovations. Libraries Rewired will provide a space to learn and develop skills, and gain new understanding of emerging technological opportuni- ties. Rob Green talks to Conference organiser Louise Greener as she takes a closer look at what to expect.
CILIP is delighted to announce a new conference – Libraries Rewired 2023 – dedicated to exploring digital trans- formation in our sector, taking place in London on Friday 10 November. This one-day event is designed to connect tech-curious colleagues, solutions providers and thought-leaders on all things digital, exploring and encouraging innovation in our sector, and offering delegates a chance to have a play with what’s on offer. The programme will explore data, AI, digital creativity, library technology, digital rights and the skills, leadership and change management processes required to keep pace with fast-moving developments in the digital landscape.
As with CILIP’s main conference, the event will bring together colleagues from across all sectors to share insights and ideas and exchange knowledge.
We Are Digital
Technology is transforming every point in the supply-chain of knowledge and infor- mation – from content creation to research, selection to data analytics. These technol- ogies depend entirely on the availability of high-quality, well-structured information, data and metadata to function. There is a huge opportunity for informa-
