The city's goal is to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring by providing leadership, coordination, plan- ning, and mobilization of a robust array of human services.

Please use the AviWise app found at www.AvondaleAZ. gov/AviWise or the city website to report homelessness activity. This can include everything from a grouping of people in tents to a single individual with a tarp or mat. Please select Homelessness Services as the type of issue.
One-off giving at busy intersections or other public spaces can delay or divert a person from seeking help. Healthy giving supports a person’s long-term needs and promotes working hand-in-hand with experienced nonprofits and faith groups who are helping people end their homelessness.
By directing your dollars to organizations that can truly make a difference, you can ensure that your contribution is supporting long-term solutions in Avondale and across the Valley.

This program is targeted for children under 5. Siblings & family members are invited to participate!
Do Something Grand! | September 27 | 10 am - 12 pm Join us in celebrating grandparents, grand friends, or other grand family members by spending the morning with them creating crafts and enjoying a healthy snack!
Family Fun Fair | October 25 | 10 am - 12 pm Join us for a day of interactive family fun! Learn about new resources that are offered to families with young children from others around the valley!
Thankful for My Family! | November 8 | 10 am - 12 pm Join us in creating a family memory by making a thankful for my family collage. Learn about resources offered in the west valley to support making your thanksgiving special for your family.
Hometown Holidays | December 6 | 10 am - 12 pm A free event geared for families with children ages 0-5 years. Enjoy cookies and holiday fun! Little ones will also get a book (while supplies last).
