Speed Cameras: What You Need to Know!
HEY AVONDALE DRIVERS! The Avondale Police Department (PD) has some important news about Speed Safety Cameras.
Here’s the lowdown: These camera spots will change every two to three weeks. To keep up with the latest locations, make sure to follow Avondale PD on social media or check their website regularly. You'll also fi nd signs posted to alert you as you approach a speed camera.
Wondering how these spots are chosen? It's based on feedback from residents and areas where offi cers have noticed a lot of speeding. It's a community eff ort to keep our roads safe!
Drivers caught speeding by one of these cameras will receive a Notice of Violation. Fines start at $185 and can increase depending on how much over the speed limit you were going and the location of the violation.
This program aims to boost safety, educate drivers, and reduce speeding. It’s all about making our streets safer for kids, residents, and visitors by using these proven speed-reducing tools.
So, let's all do our part. Stick to the speed limit and drive responsibly. This initiative is just one of many ways Avondale shows its commitment to keeping us all safe and preventing accidents.
