welcome 2 IN THE CHAIR
LEARNING NEVER STOPS
We devote a lot of this issue to the various training initiatives which have been developed by TAPA EMEA to give our members greater access to our learning programmes, more flexibility into when and how they complete our courses, and new value-added solutions aimed at increasing safety and security in your supply chains in the EMEA region.
Two weeks ago, we launched our new virtual online training courses in EMEA, which are the culmination of a lot of hard work by our regional team. This, in my opinion, is the best training we have ever delivered and the feedback we are receiving confirms this too.
Our new training tool gives course participants not only the opportunity to access more flexible training, at a time that suits them, it also comes with the back-up of our workshop webinars and Q&A support. This will also help us to collate much more insight and feedback on the training experience we are providing and help us learn more ways to improve future phases of what we do.
I cannot overemphasise the importance of feedback.
In EMEA, as we continue to build our full-time professional team, we are creating an ability to deliver more solutions for our members. When you tell us more about your training requirements, we can now act quickly to find the best ways to help. In this issue, we also focus on our new Driver Training and Remote Virtual Auditing courses and share with you some of the comments sent to us by members who have completed these trainings.
It’s clear that there is a definite need from our members for TAPA EMEA to continue growing our training support, delivered by our own in-house specialists as well as working alongside respected subject matter experts. We will continue to listen and look for more ways to increase the choice of our EMEA training programmes.
‘We are creating an ability to deliver more solutions for our members, which makes your support and feedback more important than ever.’
Thank you to our Training Team in EMEA for driving this forward and to companies like Goldstar Heathrow, Huetter Spedition & Logistik, Ingram Micro, and Unipart Group for helping us to appreciate the value of the courses from the participants’ viewpoint.
We are also asking for your feedback relating to our Standards – and, again, I hope we can count on your support. As you will read on page 6, we have created a small survey which aims to determine the return on investment of compliance with TAPA’s Facility Security Requirements (FSR) and Trucking Security Requirements (TSR). It is meant for both members and non-members and by you giving us less that 10 minutes of your time to complete our questionnaire, we can continue to improve and grow the benefits we offer to every company which recognises the supply chain resilience advantages which stem from being TAPA-certified.
You will also read that we have significantly increased the size of our Standards Team in EMEA to help us leverage the information you give us across all levels of our FSR, TSR and Parking Security Requirements (PSR) Standards. I especially wish to thank all of the members who have volunteered their knowledge and expertise to join us. It is a great tribute to the willingness of our members in EMEA to contribute to our growth strategy that when we asked for help, we received twice as many applications as we needed. This is an amazing response.
As I mark my second anniversary as President & CEO of TAPA EMEA, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved in our region in such a short space of time. We will do much, much more. As we look to increase the benefits we can offer to our regional members, we will continue listening and learning, just like everyone else.
