uring my time working in the trucking world before joining McLeod seven years ago, one of my roles was driver recruiter. I spoke to lots of
drivers and asked them what made them decide to leave their current position and look for work elsewhere. Over and over again I heard them say that they had been lied to - “The managers didn’t deliver what they promised they would.” If you break your promises to drivers - or if they perceive that you’ve broken your promises - you lose their trust, and there’s a good chance they’ll decide to move on.
