Growing the College | CORPORATE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION


> MTC is the only South Carolina organization to receive a $4 million grant through the U.S. Department of Labor’s TechHire grant program. It will provide innovative training and information technology talent in the Midlands.


> MTC hosted 35 QuickJobs information sessions resulting in more than 1,500 attendees and 515 awarded scholarships. QuickJobs programs offer targeted training that leads to in-demand careers and career advancement.


> Business Solutions increased corporate-sponsored training by 24%, which was the biggest increase in MTC’s history.


Making Lives Better | CORPORATE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION


> 81% of MTC Corporate and Continuing Education graduates in the business, computer, healthcare and human services, and industrial trades and manufacturing programs are employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation.


> MTC hosted more than 400 people at the Administrative Professionals Conference in April 2016. The annual conference engages attendees to discover new ideas and information to grow their career, while enjoying dynamic speakers and valuable networking.


> 6,997 employees at 130 employers' sites were trained by MTC faculty, enabling these individuals to gain the skills needed to successfully compete in the local workforce.
