Grants support the mission and vision of Midlands Technical College. The grant awards help students cover costs of tuition and books, as well as support student services, curriculum, professional development, campus safety and equipment.

$2.29 million Funding Source: U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education Program Title: TRIO – Student Support Services Purpose: Program provides low-income, first-generation youth in grades 6th-12th with academic, career and financial counseling services. Participants are encouraged to graduate high school, continue on and complete postsecondary education. Funding serves 825 participants over the five-year performance period.

$1.16 million Funding Source: US Department of Education Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) Program Title: TRIO – Educational Opportunity Centers Purpose: Program assists disadvantaged adults who seek to enter postsecondary education. Services include college admissions information, career exploration, and assistance with college and financial aid (FAFSA) applications. Funding serves 850 participants over the five-year performance period.
