MTC Garners National and Local Honors Best College Employer in S.C.


Midlands Technical College has been named as one of the best employers in South Carolina. In August, Forbes released its annual list of America’s Best Employers by State. Midlands Technical College ranked #1 among colleges and universities as well as #2 overall. MTC was second only to UPS on South Carolina’s list, edging out the likes of Honeywell International, Publix Super Markets, and Atrium Health.


Effective Workforce Development Strategies


The Columbia Chamber of Commerce honored Midlands Technical College with the 2022 Workforce Development Award. "The Impact Award for Workforce Development honors partners that are working to create innovative strategies in an effort to retain a dynamic, resilient, and highly skilled workforce equipped for meeting current industry needs within the greater Midlands region," said the Chamber.
