Society says that by 2025, our nation will face a shortage of more than 400,000 welding


professionals who are needed to build everything from cars and planes to buildings and


bridges," said Barrie Kirk, MTC's Provost. "These new programs


combined with our new welding center, position MTC to help fill the Midlands' job openings by training 150 welders each year."


Program Growth to Meet Industry Demand


MTC offers more than 150 degree, diploma, and certificate programs in eight Schools of Study. This year, MTC added new programs to meet the workforce development needs of a variety of different industries including health care, manufacturing, skilled trades, and information technology.
