The hydrolyzers are loaded for sea transport in Mumbai, India.
1.2-kilometer, 40-bar steam pipeline, including the condensate system, was successfully commissioned to supply the hydrolyzers with the necessary energy.
A triumph of engineering
After three and a half years of intensive work, the project was successfully completed in July 2023. The hydrolysis plant was commissioned on schedule and in full operation. Pörner project manager Harald Grünberger reflects: “It were exciting three and a half years to accompany this plant from dismantling and new construction across all engineering disciplines to commissioning. We are pleased together with LAT Nitrogen that the plant is now running as planned and LAT Nitrogen can produce melamine in compliance with all environmental regulations!”
This project is a testament to engineering excellence in large-scale industrial construction. It demonstrates how accurate planning, innovative solutions and a dedicated team can overcome even the most complex challenges. LAT Nitrogen’s new wastewater treatment plant plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainable production of melamine.
