BRAZIL IS BURNING AGAIN.
REALLY? YEAP!
The world needs energy, to run its economies and to sustain the people. For centuries new technologies helped with improvements in sourcing and storing energy as well as seed and crop varieties. One thing is common and until recently, most of the energy has been coming from the ground.
Brazil has been no exception with larger crops over larger areas extending into what used to be forests and other types of virgin vegetative lands. Just like many other parts of the world, the eco-system in Brazil is shifting and the past few years the signs are becoming more evident.
In the past 10 years, when comes to cane areas, Brazil Centre-South, the largest cane area, had 7 years of irregular and/or lower rainfall. This year the situation is more alarming. Cane just like many crops need rain and although it may resist and/or recover from prolonged dry spells, this year it has been too dry for too long.
