BRAZIL EXPORTS LEVELS AS AT 2 SEPTEMBER 2024
COMPARATIVE FIGURES FOR EXPORTS According to the latest report by SA Commodities Agro issued on September 2, 2024, Brazil had reached the following levels in exports of Sugar, Soybeans and Corn:

20.2 million tons. of sugar between January 1 and September 2, almost 5 million more than the previous year, this can be justified with the following explanation: The sugar stock in Brazil in December 2023 was 4.654 million tons above last year, in April 2024 it fell to 1.514 million tons above April 2023. From July onwards, the stock starts to fall below last year’s, if exports continue to be strong, as expected, in February 2025 Brazil will have to put the brakes on its exports, so numbers should not have the same pace as we are experiencing this year, even with other origins not performing like India for example.

• Soybean Comparing the same period, we have soybean exports totalling 84.6 million tons compared to 87.1 million tons in the same period in 2023.
• Corn Corn also shows a drop with 14.6 million tons in 2024 compared to 18.9 million tons in 2023.
