SOFTS LINE-UP


SUGAR Our Brazilian sugar line-up showing a huge volume with already 218.080mt of cargo loading, 1.9mln mt. waiting to be loaded and another 1.9mln mt. expected to arrive.


MAIZE For the maize line-up, volume is even higher with 610.907mt of cargo loading, 1.4mln mt. waiting to be loaded and another 2.3mln mt. expected to arrive.


SOYA COMPLEX Finally, Soya Complex showing 881.504mt of cargo loading, 2.3mln mt. waiting to be loaded and another 2,9mln mt. expected to arrive.


In other words, considering September/October exports we can account for 4mln mt. of sugar, 4.4mln mt. of maize and 6.1mln mt. of soya.


To summarize, we can say that Sept/Oct Brazil shall export around 14.5mln tons of softs.

WAITING TIME TO BERTH Analysing the waiting time at the ports of Santos and Paranagua in the same period between 23/24, we do not see much improvement, terminals such as Rumo (16-17) with 28 days of waiting, Rumo (19) with 16 days, Tiplam (2) with 11 days and Tiplam (3) with 18 days of waiting.


In Paranagua the waiting time is between 6 and 13 days between the Bunge, Pasa and export corridor terminals. Antonina has a 42-day waiting time.

CLOSING REMARKS With the numbers presented above, which are not predictions but facts, it is easy to understand where part of the logistical bottleneck is in Brazil, and what the potential alternatives are to alleviate this bottleneck. Investment in the Northern Region continues to gain much attention, especially for the grain market, which by migrating part of its volumes to the North, will relieve the ports of the Center-South, and consequently the logistics of the sugar market.
