DuMore Partnering

Tourism research continues to draw attention to how formalized partnerships can provide a destination significant advantages when it comes to niche marketing, targeted sales efforts, and supporting local economic development initiatives. As outlined in the Tourism Roadmap, the DuPage CVB is prioritizing formalized partnerships that will further distinguish DuPage County and its differentiators.

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is the artery that connects everyone in DuPage.

“ DuPage County has a wealth of outdoor and nature assets that are key to its identity as one of the healthiest counties in the state. Partnering with the Forest Preserve District is a natural choice and a key component to increasing our competitiveness as a destination. This agreement will benefit not only the efforts of the two agencies, but all one million residents of DuPage County.”

— David Brummel, Mayor of Warrenville The Great Outdoors

As part of our effort to rebrand and establish DuPage County as a premier health/ wellness and outdoor recreation destination, the DuPage CVB officially partnered with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County (FPDDC). Healthy lifestyles, social connections, community vitality, adventure recreation, and activities that provide emotional connection are important considerations for today’s traveler. These factors also happen to be at the core of the FPDDC’s work. Together the DuPage CVB and FPDDC will maximize efforts to reach users and enhance unique visitor experiences.

We firmly believe the Forest Preserve District’s stewardship of natural areas improves the quality of life for county residents, and all forest preserve visitors reap the physical, emotional and spiritual rewards of spending time in nature.” — Joe Cantore, President of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County
